Community Partnerships, Inc. (CPI) realized a need for a set of data which would provide a foundation to understand our community - What are our strengths and assets? Where are resources needed? How are the indicators interrelated? How can we evaluate our progress? The data is presented to stimulate discussion for establishing community goals and objectives, as well as providing data to a variety of users for grant writing, research, planning, and analysis. CPI teamed up with The City of Fort Wayne and with The Community Research Institute (CRI) to provide for an initial set of indicators in these seven areas:

• Education
• Economy (with Income Indicators)
• Crime and Safety
• Population & Demographics
• Health (including births, deaths, etc.)
• Social Welfare
• Environment

FORMAT of the Report:

The Allen County Profile Home Page introduces seven Chapters (Education, Health, etc). Within each Chapter Page is a general introduction to the topics to be profiled. The next level is the Data Page. Data, charts, and observations are contained within these data pages. Sources, links, and definitions are indicated at the end of each Data Page in the "caveat box".
